Margie Harris Davis
We have lost a Precious Jewel

Margie Harris Davis, the foundation and guiding force behind the Richwood Community Development Agency (RCDA), left her earthly home and took wings to her heavenly destination on Wednesday, November 11, 2020.
Margie particularly loved to help youth prepare themselves for the challenges of adult life and potential employment. Through the years she has taught many students who planned to enter medical fields and provided educational and recreational assistance to many others through her work with RCDA’s Summer Enrichment Program.
She will be dearly missed by many, but will live on in the hearts of many more.

Keeping Our Community Safe
Our COVID-19 Community Outreach
To assist with the COVID-19 pandemic, RCDA has donated 500 disposable facemasks to the Primary Health Services Center who will be testing and supplying masks to children in the local school systems. We also provided personal protective equipment (Face Shield and 10 disposable masks) for all students who have regularly participated in RCDA’s Summer Enrichment Program. Students also were provided a work storage basket and 32GB flash drive for use in online or hybrid instructional situations. As we continue assessing the impact of this pandemic, other actions also might be taken.
We Are On A Mission
Welcome to the Richwood Community Development Agency!
Welcome to the website of the Richwood Community Development Agency (RCDA). We are a community service organization whose volunteer members have provided services and assistance to residents in the southern part of Ouachita Parish for over 20 years. What began as a grass-roots effort in the town of Richwood has grown into an organization whose community contributions are valued by many individuals and other helping organizations. We accept and appreciate all volunteer as well as financial assistance provided to support our mission. After learning more about us, perhaps you too will consider contributing your resources to our worthy causes.
Click here to see the documentation on how RCDA is a state and federally recognized nonprofit organization with 501c3 status for tax exempt donations!
To ensure that we are able to continue our good work, we need your help. All RCDA Board and Active members are volunteers. Monroe/Richwood communities have high poverty rates and undereducated populations. It is RCDA’s goal to make positive current and future impacts on these communities. With your financial assistance (in any amount), we can continue to make that happen.
